*Location: Stratford, CT* *Must be US Citizen or GC Holder only* *Duration:1year * *Responsibilities:* Seeking Engineer to support legacy application written in Visual Basic 6. The application is targeted for modernization initiative and will require experience with .NET technologies. Key responsibilities will include: § Developing of custom application enhancements and bug fixes for legacy application § Providing daily operational application support, Level 2-3. § Driving resolution of application trouble and request tickets § Code development and modification for the application, legacy and modernized application Support of application test cycles *Required Skills:* The qualified candidate will have proven experience in the following: § C#.NET, HTML 5, Angular, Oracle PL/SQL, MVC framework Knowledge of Visual Basic 6 (VB6) or ability to learn § 3-6 years release engineering experience and experience implementing a build and release system. § Maintain detailed build and release notes. § Mastery of source control tools. § Work with development, QA and project management teams to set release schedules and environment. § Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, build automation, deployment, and release management. § Maintain high quality by participating in code reviews. § Ability to work at the client location *Required* The ideal candidate possesses: § Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations § Ability to understand existing (and undocumented) designs, solutions, and applications, and apply that knowledge towards designing and implementing technical solutions § Has excellent understanding of application servers, multi-tier architectures ( presentation to persistence ) § Has ability to work directly with the client, walk-through architecture and design reviews, understand business requirements § Has a “do whatever it takes attitude”, dedication to quality, ability to work independently, and attention to detail § Has excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills § Experience in providing technical consulting on complex projects; § Experience using Visual Studio § Experience in MS-SQL Server § Experience building enterprise level solutions § Expertise in delivering complete solutions to clients § Excellent written and verbal communication skills § Ability to work directly with the client § The ability to work independently § The ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; § Thanks and regards, *Shubham* *Phone*: 614-495-9222*473 *Email**:* [email protected] *United Software Group Inc. * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
