Java/Hadoop & Mongo DB developer with the following skills:
Extensive Mongo DB experience. Should have worked on No SQL
Hands on experience in Sqoop
Exposure to Data Profiling, Master Data Management, Metadata, Data
Warehousing, ETL, and RDBMS.
Experience in Hortonworks Hadoop ecosystems
BI knowledge
MicroServices knowledge - exposure to Services-Oriented Architecture (in
the Cloud) and Amazon Web Services
Preferably Telecom domain experience.
*Requirement 2:*
*POSITION TITLE: Cassandra DB Architect*
*LOCATION: Dallas, Texas*
*DURATION: 6 months*
The Cassandra DB Architect will be responsible for designing, developing
and provide roadmaps to the existing Oracle DB to Cassandra platform.
They will play a key role in directing the technical approach of team
members regarding Cassandra DB-based solutions created with for Oracle
migration. The Cassandra DB Architect will be involved in the technical
recommendation of the exiting Oracle system and leverage Cassandra DB
capabilities, and make recommendations.
This hands-on position requires broad experience in developing Cassandra DB
-based solutions that deliver consistent results. This position reports to
the Manager of Business Intelligence
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
*BI Development Process:*
Experience in debugging, trouble-shooting, and influencing the team to use
best practices in the design, development, and deployment and production
migration.
Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and apply development
methodologies to them.
Experience in partnering with Quality Assurance operations to proactively
create test plans and identify data integrity issues caused by upstream
data.
*BI Development:*
This position will include technical leadership of other team members
working in various capacities and skill levels with OLAP tools and
associated development.
Ensure that objects are created with our design and report development
standards.
*Domain and Business Knowledge Development:*
Develop a strong understanding of source-system data and determine which
elements need to be exposed to the semantic layer that will be exposed for
Cassandra DB open source systems/ solutions.
Partner with SMEs across business units to understand their challenges and
sources of information. This will evolve into technical discussions for
potential BI solutions and enhancement of Enterprise system and subject
areas.
*Other Responsibilities:*
Work with platform administrators help train and setup the appropriate
monitoring, support, and controls.
Work with business users to design and develop prototypes for tactical and
enterprise solutions.
Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to provide
estimates and help refine technical requirements
Resolve data integrity issues by profiling data and understating data
behavior and business rules.
Performs administrative duties such as status reports.
*Minimum Qualifications and Key Requirements:*
Deep experience (8 years or more) with Cassandra DB development using
Microsoft SSAS
Demonstrated proficiency in the design and development of data warehouse
semantic layer and data modeling concepts such as star schemas, snowflake
schemas and highly-normalized models.
Expert level knowledge of SQL. Ability to diagnose and tune queries, use
of advanced SQL features such as window / analytic functions.
Experience with Aggregate Join Indexes (AJI) on Teradata platform
preferred.
Experience in the following reporting tools – Oracle, Business Objects,
Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata , Tableau would be an advantage.
Experience and knowledge of disciplined project-delivery processes.
Experienced with both waterfall and agile-like processes.
Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple projects in different
subject areas and environments.
Experience in working with matrix-managed resources in an effective and
constructive fashion.
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, self-started, self-motivated
*Requirement 3:*
*Role: JIRA Consultant*
*Location: Oak Brook, IL*
*Duration: 3 months*
Atlassian JIRA v6 and JIRA Agile configuration/administration at the expert
level
Migration of Configuration and Data between JIRA instances at the expert
level
Create custom Workflows/Notifications/Scripts/Schemes in JIRA
Install/Manage Plugin add-ons in a JIRA instance
SIL and Groovy based scripting and automation
Familiarity with other Atlassian products like Confluence is helpful
