Share me resumes at [email protected] *Senior TSM (Tivoli Storage Management) Administrator* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Location: NYC - NY* *Screening: In-person after Telephonic* RESPONSIBILITIES - Work in a production environment to ensure 24x7 operations of backup systems and processes - Administer TSM environments to monitor and manage enterprise data management processes. Monitor TSM application server processes and errors to ensure overall system performance and stability. - Monitor daily backup operations to insure they are available for Data Recovery. - Provide support to technical/non-technical customers for restorations. Provide on-call assistance for data center operations. - As TSM Administrator you will be expected to resolve complex problems in a team environment, working pro-actively with System Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineering, and Data Center Operations personnel. - Conform to and support systems management disciplines including change management, problem management, asset management, and systems documentation. Assist in reporting for capacity planning, growth forecasting, and performance analysis. REQUIREMENTS - Experience using TSM (Tivoli Storage Management) in a large heterogeneous environment with at least 200+ client nodes is preferred. TSM 6.X experience is must. - Experience should include the following functional areas: Installation, configuration & management of backup servers, performance tuning of the system and servers as required both at the application and system (AIX and Linux) level. - Proven experience with configuring TSM for optimal performance and minimal failures. - Experience working with and training operations staff. - Experience with documenting processes and procedures. - Experience backing up NAS shares over the network or via NDMP is must. - Bachelor's degree is required.
