Position: Data Analyst Location: Newark, NJ Interview: Telephonic and In Person Duration: 9 - 12 Month Contract Description: The Data Analyst will be highly analytical, technically superior; detail oriented and possesses a keen appetite for all things data. Will be working directly with business partners on critical business projects Will analyze the existing and prospective customer base, research the latest industry trends and solve critical problems Will demonstrate excellence in project management, business judgment and analytics Required Skills/ Basic Skills Highly proficient with both SQL and Excel Comfortable with large datasets and database management systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work comfortably and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative environment Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to address issues from multiple perspectives, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail At least 5 years in analytics or business intelligence. Experience in e-Commerce or subscription space a plus. Responsibilities Own the data management of all customer related data including data integrity and availability. Develop and maintain all customer-focused standardized reporting from requirements gathering to dashboard creation. Support the analytics team to drive new understanding of customer behaviors by cleaning, staging and analyzing customer and traffic data. Service requests for ad hoc campaign analysis, population sizing and data pulls. Focus on optimizing and improving data processes through automation and new technology. Liaison with the acquisition, product and finance teams to improve knowledge sharing around data and reporting. Effectively communicate with various business owners and teams and escalate technical issues when appropriate.
