Job Description: ETL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience with AbInito to perform high complexity (i.e. application modules) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate will perform ongoing support of the existing applications and any new applications. Primary Responsibilities: • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. • Read and understand business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs, and build / unit / system test application code. • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. • Support the changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as prescribed by management Requirements: • 10+ years hands on experience in Ab-Initio • 7+ years’ experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation. • 7+ years’ experience with Unix korn-shell • Strong working knowledge of at least one database • Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications • Experience of EME and promotion. • Experience with MetaHub (or experience with other Metadata systems) • Experience with Business Rules Environment (BRE) • Working knowledge of DB2 • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and work ethic • Exceptional technical skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong desire to learn new technologies and applications along with the ability to adapt to very challenging environments.
