*Role: SAS Administrator* *Location: Minneapolis ,MN* *Duration: Long Term* Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills Adding users, registering tables, etc. using SAS Management Console Installation of client applications and Troubleshooting technical problems Strong experience working with Oracle on Unix using command line and GUI SQL tools Tracking applicable SAS hot fixes and creating implementation plans for respective SAS modules and applications Monitoring SAS Server resources and reporting usage(s) Identifying performance and recommending/implementing tuning of active SAS environment(s) providing projected capacity shortfalls Designing, implementing, and maintaining security on SAS Metadata and Linux for users Designing, implementing, and executing the change control and promotions tasks in SAS Establishing best practices and guidelines for SAS BI usage Provide guidance and assistance to SAS Developers on operational and technical issues; interfacing with the SAS Institute for Support on administrative and system issues Creating and implementing upgrade plans Occasional extra hour support when system OS and hardware maintenance and applying SAS hot fixes and upgrades occur. Monitor and log SAS servers and optimize memory usage or tune servers for optimal performance. Focus on areas of capability, interoperability, scalability and enterprise class issues (i.e. like failover) Act as a liaison to SAS Technical Support for SAS users at the clients sit Strong experience in Base SAS, SAS/MACROS, SAS/ACCESS, SAS/CONNECT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT, SAS/ODS, SAS/DI and SAS/SQL in Windows and UNIX environments Roles and responsibility 1. Plan, design, build, deploy, and support infrastructure technology for a SAS portfolio 2. Own accountability for speed, cost, quality, stability and risk profile of infrastructure for a portfolio 3. Orchestrate, assemble, and consume services from Infrastructure services 4. Integrate with solution portfolio strategic and tactical planning 5. Monitor and execute platform health including capacity and performance 6. Support portfolio infrastructure through patching, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning 7. Prioritize utilizing standard patterns provided by Infrastructure services 8. Seek EA approval for non-standard technology stack deviations 9. If approved by EA, assume full-accountability for deviations to non-standard technology stacks 10.
