*Position: Project Manager with GIS Exp. * *Location : Minneapolis, MN OR Denver, CO* *Duration: 12+ Months * *Interview Mode: Phone then Face to Face Job Description* · Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects. Oversees project budgets and schedules. Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope. Minimizes project risk. Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures. · Accountable for the on-time, on-budget integration of Client’s enterprise GIS into SAP. · The project is a stream of work within an overall program to upgrade the enterprise Smallworld application and database as well as identify and upgrade critical integrations and applications with a dependency on the enterprise GIS. · The Sr. PM is responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors and vendors at distributed work locations, and mitigating issues and risks. The Sr. PM is responsible for forecasting costs, tracking actuals, and explaining variances. *Job Responsibilities*: - Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones, accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates. - Manages, prepares and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. - Create and manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking and calculating earned value metrics. - Identifies risks and issues and provides effective mitigation. - Monitors project activities and resolves/escalates issues as needed. *Job Requirement* - Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with management of a $2M project budget or greater. ? - Proven experience managing software upgrade or enterprise GIS implementation projects. ? - Proven experience managing requirements specification, design activities, prototype development, testing and final deployment. ? - Proven vendor management experience including SOW creation, financial control, and aggressively driving vendor to meet date and budget commitments. ? - Proven experience on a project with a large number of impacted users, (i.e., at least 200 users) and managing the associated change management. ? - Experience in managing project budget forecasts and actuals. - Experienced with accrual-based accounting. *Regards* *Ranjeet Kumar* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions * *Phone No. 302-261-3207 Ext - 112* *Email :[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
