Overview: The client is a Mortgage processing financial company which processes thousands of mortgages for the numerous major banks. We are modernizing systems from PowerBuilder to Java. The deployment team is looking with a Java consultant with the following skillsets: • The primary skill required is strong knowledge of Java, JSP, Jboss and Spring4 technology. The candidate must be able to lead small teams. The majority of this effort will be modernizing the existing JSP code and ensuring that it integrates with the new Java backend (currently PowerBuilder). The position will work closely with our overall Architect and Account Technical Lead. • We will need to refactor JSP web pages to a more modern design. The consultant will be required to develop standards, develop a more modern JSP design with the same user interface. This would include – Spring MVC, use of CSS, and use of secure coding standards being developed.
