*Role: Trade and Compliance Associate in Mechanical Engineering/ Parts manufacturing domain**Location:* * Hagerstown, MD* *Client: WiproDescription:* 1. The position will report, with a formal, solid line, to JLG s Manager, Global Trade Compliance. 2. Responsible for determining the classification, under the HTSUS, of items offered for importation into the U.S. export jurisdiction and classification of certain company technical data, systems and parts 3. Responsible for determining the classification, under the HTS, of items offered for importation into countries other than the U.S. 4. Responsible for keeping records of all assigned classifications, in an electronic database to which access is controlled. 5. Responsible for reporting all metrics associated with their duties, e.g., number of back-logged items, average number of classifications per hour / day average amount of time required for each classification. 6. Responsible, upon approval by JLG s Manager, Global Trade Compliance, for submitting to US Government agencies, e.g., Customs and Border, classification ruling requests to establish the classification, under the HTSUS, of certain items.
