Position Summary:
Client is looking for a senior Software Developer/Architect who is very
proficient in Ruby on Rails. Candidate must be able to translate business
requirements into technical specifications through new feature designs and
identify opportunities for system/infrastructure design improvements.
This will be a Lead role (team of 4-6); prior Lead experience would be
helpful.
Regarding the role: We are passionate about our products and the evolving
technologies we use to build them. The Software Developer will need to
share our passion for craftsmanship in software design and development and
continuous improvement in the techniques, tools and languages we use; as
well as have an appreciation for business objectives and delivering
superior, innovative software solutions.
Qualifications:
-- Experience of working within an Agile software development environment
-- Experience in carrying out quality reviews of other developers code
-- Knowledge of configuring and deploying applications to web application
containers
-- Experience of new web technologies such as AJAX
-- Flexibility in thinking, with the ability to embrace changes in the
business
-- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to
manage multiple tasks and changing priorities to meet deadlines
-- 8+ yrs. of related technical experience, MS/BS or equivalent work
experience
-- Appropriate Certifications, or equivalent military experience are a
plus++
-- Gateway Architect experience, huge plus
-- Application Architect/Senior Developer this individual will help drive
technical solutions
Required Skills:
-- Very strong Ruby skills - development and architect level
-- Very strong communication skills; ability to work with internal business
clients, and drive projects
Desired Skills:
-- Payments industry experience
-- Payment gateway experience
-- FinTech experience
