*Job Title: Python Developer* *Location: **Melbourne - FL* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Position Summary: * The Software Engineer will primarily develop automated tests for in-flight connectivity and entertainment systems using the Python programing language and the Robot test framework in a mixed Linux and Windows environment. The Software Engineer will be a member of the continuous integration team which provides CI support, automated testing and internal application development for a number of product teams. *Responsibilities:* · Development of software products by writing, testing, and documenting code (80%) · Generate technical requirements and processes (10%) · Provide guidance and training to other functional groups as needed (5%) · Other duties as assigned by Team Leader (5%) *Required Skills:* · Minimum 3 years’ experience developing Python applications under Linux and Windows · Experience with multiprocessing and multithreading in Python · Experience developing REST applications using Python · Experience with the Robot testing framework preferred · Experience developing Flask applications preferred · Experience with containerizing applications using Docker preferred · Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and ORM tools preferred · Experience developing user interface applications with modern web UI technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.) preferred · Experience with C++ preferred · Experience with bug-tracking (Jira, Trac, etc.) and source code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.) · Experience with team software development projects · Excellent understanding of software development life cycle · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Proficient with MS Office tools including Access, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent · Regular attendance is required, must be onsite, no telecommuting · Must have a positive attitude · Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Thales culture, that is, exhibit the Thales values of Compliance, Respect, Innovation, Responsibility, Teamwork · Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner · Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States · Ability to speak English fluently -- Thanks & Regards, *Sampath* Damcosoft Inc.
