We have a priority here. This person just resigned due to an emergency but
they need someone there immediately!!! They must work onsite M-F for at
least 6 months and no expenses are paid.
*Summary:*
Lead a client Ariba implementation project while working to align matrixed,
internal, functional SMEs and third party consulting implementation partner
expectations, objectives, and results. The initial implementation focuses
on Corporate indirect spend. For example packing and distribution supplies,
MRO items, operations and back office supplies, et al. The projects overall
objective is to create world-class spend management environment, through
the use of innovative, high-quality, global, Spend Management Solutions
that create sustainable bottom-line results.
*Overview:*
The person will be responsible for driving, managing, and reporting over
implementation progress, status, and other high quality deliverables to the
implementation team and client stakeholders. This includes budget,
schedule, risk, scope, and issue management among other responsibilities.
This opportunity in the initiation stage and will quickly progress to the
implementation
Principal Experiences:
Proven leadership of software implementation team(s) across multiple
facilities and regions. Exposure to multicultural scenarios / international
work experience a plus.
Effectively managed software implementation projects in complex and
ambiguous environments.
Ability to assess and determine resources necessary to secure and deploy
resources within the target budget and timeframe
Managed customer expectations to align with viable solution(s), increase
productivity and positive solution impact.
Assists in identifying opportunities to apply spend management best
practices and proven techniques.
Effectively managed difficult situations, client related, team related, or
both.
Displays a strong knowledge of common spend management business process
practices and understands their applicability and limitations.
Able to Influence opinions and decisions using understanding of applicable
people, organizational processes and structure.
Comfortable engaging with people of various organizational levels and
communication channels (verbal, written, etc.)
Demonstrated experience in client management.
Broad knowledge of spend management strategies and/or procurement,
sourcing, category management, vendor performance management and/or
Industry experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale projects a plus.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
*Requirements:*
Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, other related
area. Advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of five years of procurement system project management project
management experience including applicable experience across the entire
project management lifecycle, Initiate to Close.
Software solutions expert with 5+ years of direct implementation experience
across multiple projects of one or more different spend and procurement
system solutions, e.g. Ariba, Coupa Procurement, Oracle Procurement, et al.
Experience should include in systems implementation and integration and/or
process re-engineering. Experience and expertise with Ariba solutions
preferred.
Manager or higher level consulting experience at either at a Big 5-type or
boutique firm preferred.
Experience and strong understanding of cloud software implementation
challenges, mitigation tactics and benefits.
Advanced familiarity with procurement process lifecycle preferred.
PMP or other project management certification preferred
Demonstrated analytical and communication skills-both written, verbal, and
presentation.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
