*Job Title: Windows Administrator-cloud infrastructure*

*Location: Washington D.C*

*Duration: 6 Months *



Job Description

1. Focus on Windows Systems Administration for HQ and Country Office based
instances of Microsoft Windows Servers.

2. Advanced Active Directory skills including GPOs, building and upgrading
domains, forests, RODC server core, site topology, domain & trust, LDAP
integration with apps, security/delegation control, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,
Schema update and certificate trust.

3. Cloud infrastructure support including Azure and AWS

4. Automation tools such as Vrealize and Microsoft DSC (Desired State
Configuration)

5. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft servers and other
Microsoft products in bank headquarters and country offices.

6. Install, configure and troubleshoot Bank standard hardware and firmware
(currently Dell)

7. Provide remote assistance and support to IT staff in the different
regions and end-users when necessary

8. Provide support for server backup & monitoring

9. Provide support for File/Print/Anti-virus servers

10. Coordinate with business units and IT staff in regions proposals for
upgrade and or implementation of new technologies/services as well as
procurement of hardware and software

11. Participate in patch management and security administration for Windows
servers.

12. In-depth analysis and problem resolution for complex operating
environments involving Microsoft, IBM, Citrix, EMC.

13. Determine the impact of requirements on the existing architecture,
systems, and work processes. Work with affected areas to ensure the proper
review/communication of requirements and integration.

14. Determine infrastructure system specifications for hardware/software
compatibility, in close collaboration with other IMT teams and the Office
of Information Security.

15. Perform troubleshooting for security incidents that require software
and network forensic analysis, in close collaboration with other IMT teams.

16. Participate in audits, as needed, producing necessary documentation,
reports and explanations. Assist with the definition and implementation of
corrective measures aimed at correcting possible findings.



 Selection Criteria:

1. Bachelor’s degree(s) in Computer Science/Engineering or Equivalent.
Minimum 5 consecutive years of system administration experience.

2. At least 5 years’ experience supporting a large installation of
Microsoft Windows Servers

3. Programming and scripting experience, preferably in Powershell

4. Strong knowledge of Active Directory Management including: user
management, GPOs, building and upgrading domains & forests

5. Cloud infrastructure knowledge including Azure and AWS

6. Automation tool knowledge such as Vrealize and Microsoft DSC (Desired
State Configuration)

7. In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals, registries, permissions

8. Familiarity with performance analysis using performance monitoring

9. Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (DNS, ICMP, SMB,
SSL/TLS, etc.)

10. Patch management procedures for windows operating systems

11. Initiative and resourcefulness in complex environments; flexibility and
ability to prioritize conflicting demands in high-pressure and
time-critical situations.

12. Strong knowledge of File\Print server management as well as Anti-virus
management tools

13. Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively
in a team/task force as a participant or team leader. Demonstrated
sensitivity to the Bank’s distinctive demographics and cross cultural
context and influences, including the ability to build effective work
relationships with clients and colleagues.

14. Proven conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills. Ability to break
down raw information and undefined problems into specific, workable
components that, in turn, clearly identify the issues at hand. Makes
logical conclusions, anticipates obstacles and considers different
approaches that are relevant to the decision-making process.

15. Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English
language. Able to prepare, present, and defend/explain technical
information to diverse types of audience (management, users, vendor, and
technical staff) in a way that establishes rapport and shares
understanding. Demonstrated ability to produce a wide range of deliverables
such as memoranda, requirements documents, status reports, terms of
reference (TORs), project plans, etc.

16. Experience troubleshooting system hardware and software, particularly
to investigate problems related to server outages.

17. Familiarity with the following are a plus:

a. Remote Monitoring and Management tools

b. Windows clustering technology

c. Virtual Infrastructure

d. Sharepoint



REQUIRED/MUST SKILLs:

Minimum 5 consecutive years of system administration experience;
Programming and scripting experience, preferably in Powershell; Strong
knowledge of Active Directory Management; Cloud infrastructure knowledge
