*Project Manager Job description*
The Principal Consultant works directly with client teams in a
collaborative environment to provide value added input, deliver projects
built around identified and strategic issues, and ensure the delivery of
high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Partner with the client and Trexin Sr. Principals to scope
project work and define detailed activities and outputs for the project’s
duration.
· Synthesize conclusions derived out of tactical business and
strategy meetings into recommendations. Work with Sr. Trexin and client
leaders to deliver results.
· Manage small Project and Client teams on the account to
successfully manage and deliver innovative solutions.
· Proactively keep client partners abreast of the progress and
direction of all work being performed. Create a shared point of view on
opportunities or obstacles identified.
· Engage contact leads, develop networks and assist Trexin in
developing business proposals.
· Assist in other practice areas and take on new roles as needed.
· Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of client’s strategies,
business issues and relationships from senior management on down.
· Remain current on competitive trends in the industry to
anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at assigned
clients.
· Proactively continue to strengthen subject matter expertise
through on the job experience, participation in conferences, symposiums and
other forums for professional knowledge sharing.
· Creates, tracks and reports progress to project work plan
(created in collaboration with extended team)
· Manages and presents deliverables related to the project
· Manages the day-to-day activities (actions) of a cross-functional
IT project team
· Resolves technical and business issues
· Ensures project activities are performed (gather business
requirements, design, construction, system testing, and IT
implementation/rollout)
· Negotiates with vendors, business representatives, and project
sponsors
· Manages risks and changes
*Desired Skills and Experience*
Skills & Requirements:
· A minimum of 5 years of multifunctional experiences and peer
relationships with Middle to Sr. Management IT professionals.
· The Project Manager has overall accountability for the project.
The Project Manager leads the project team and supports project success by
defining, planning, coordinating, controlling and reviewing all project
activities.
· Healthcare/PBM Experience
· Proven ability to identify issues, diagnose root causes and find
innovative solutions to them through independent thinking and collaborating
with client and teams.
· Demonstrated creative problem solving skills combining technical
and analytical excellence.
· Advanced written and oral communication skills.
Additional Skills & Requirements:
· Experience with either Waterfall or Agile Methodologies.
Experience with both or strong background in Agile/Scrum is preferred.
· Big Data, Data Warehouse, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics
or other related experience
· Strong technology background. Should have prior experience in
hands-on development with Data Acquisition, Data Analysis, Data Modeling or
similar.
· Experience with any of the following tools and languages is a
*strong* plus:
- Apache Software Foundation – Big Data Tools & Languages
- Hadoop
- MapReduce
- Datameer
- Pig, Hive, Hbase, Flume, Kafka, Sqoop, Storm, Spark, Python
- DataStage for Big Data
- Talend
- NoSQL
