Seeking long-term consultant to start immediately . Client is
implementing Workday Finance this summer but needs a Senior JDE
consultant to continue to support the end users with any enhancements,
reporting needs and month end closings. Communications skills are key,
this consultant will be expected to take requirements and be the front
line for all end users to reach out to of supporting JDE technical
issues. The consultant will also be working closely with an offshore
team to translate requirements and implement enhancements.
They will be working on JDE Enterprise One 8.11 (they are not planning
to upgrade but moving to Workday, so they will be supporting the data
migration to WD and contract will complete. Expecting around 18 month
contract.
Must be able to be onsite in Stamford, CT
*JDE Technical Functional Analyst*
*Responsibilities*
- Provide first level support for Client’s users of the Enterprise One
application by providing specific system and business expertise when
necessary to solve production and maintenance problems in the areas of
Finance, HR and Procurement and Inventory
- Work with business users of JDE to identify innovative system
solutions to address current and future business conditions and requirements
- Function as lead analyst in evaluating JDE releases and developing
implementation plans
- Production support of the JD Edwards Enterprise One applications
running on a Sun/Oracle platform
*Support*
- Provides ongoing ERP system support for core business applications and
operations for the GL, AP, AR, HR, Sales order functions of JDE 8.11
- Coordinates program documentation including technical specifications,
change history, test plans, test results and scheduled run documentation
- Utilize Oracle 9.x/8.x, C, C++, and Java technologies to perform
programming and support tasks, including the debugging and coding of JDE
Business functions
- Provide business units with IT support for the following JDE
Enterprise One modules: Inventory, Procurement, Sales, Financial (A/P, A/R,
G/L), Human Capital Management and Asset Management
- *Coordinate* tasks related to JDE Configurable Network Computing
(“CNC”), including package builds, deployments, security, configuration and
trouble shooting of Enterprise, Database and Web servers running in both
the Sun Solaris and Windows environments. No CNC experience is required
*Technical*
- Design, develop, code, test, maintain, support and document
client/server applications, data architectures, and data structures for
business applications, specifically JD Edwards (“JDE”) Enterprise One
- Design and develop JDE Business functions in C/C++ as per business
requirements
- Write business specifications, assist in the development, monitoring
and testing of interfaces to and from JDE
- Review, release, and service pack notes issued by Oracle for JDE to
identify changes to be applied
- Use Autopilot to validate user testing scripts
- Develop appropriate testing and implementation plans
- Analyze source business data from JDE and develop or modify mappings
to extract data into a data warehouse environment for Financial Reporting.
Write new PL/SQL scripts or modify existing scripts used within data
warehouse to populate data from distinct sources
- Provide coding and perform unit testing of applications to ensure
efficient execution and compliance with business and technical requirements
- Participate in structured, technical, and functional walkthroughs of
specifications and programming logic with project team members
- Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met
- Analyze software requirements to develop technical design
specifications
- Analyze new releases of JDE and act as project manager to implement
into production

- Analyze, design, and lead new areas of application within Enterprise
One in assigned functional areas of responsibility
- Work directly with end-users to identify and define opportunities for
systemic business solutions
- Provide JDE training to end-users
- Work with specific departments to provide support for standard and
custom JD Edwards applications
- Act as project manager for assigned business initiatives
- Training and implementation responsibilities for any new functionality
identified
- Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings as
needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes through the
use of Enterprise One in the areas of AP, AR, GL, HR, Fixed Assets,
Inventory
*Required experience*
- 5-7+ plus years direct experience working with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
*, *Development Toolset, , and the following modules: JDE
financials, purchasing, fixed asset, and inventory and HRIS
- Oracle SQL writing, tuning, enhancing
*Preferred experience*
- 5+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne full life cycle implementation
- System function modification and designing, developing, coding and
unit testing JDE EnterpriseOne applications
- 2 + years with data warehousing
- Knowledge of additional enterprise applications is a significant plus
especially MS Dynamics
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Self-starter with a history of setting and achieving goals
- Strength and fortitude to execute the Diagnostic Business Development
process
