Urgent need, client is still hiring 8 people.. BUT THEY NEED TO BE LOCAL TO
NEW YORK CITY AND COME FOR A FACE 2 FACE
Our client, a transportation giant, located in lower Manhattan, is looking
for multiple developers to assist in the development and maintenance of an
internal transportation system. Responsibilities will include new
development, break-fixes and modifying features.
*Day to Day Responsibilities*
- Support development, test and production environments using Oracle
Fusion Forms and Reports 11g or Minimum Oracle Forms and Reports 10g
expertise
- Commanding knowledge and hands on working experience with
complex/large database packages, procedures, functions and triggers with
Oracle Database 11g R2 or higher
- Manage the development of effective and efficient Oracle Forms and
Reports consistent with application Requirements documents
- Will provide hands on programming, production support, unit testing,
UAT, debugging, troubleshooting and resolving long running programs
- Design, develop and implement archiving of production data
- Build and maintain stored procedures, packages, triggers and views
- Insure compliance with change control, QA, safety, business continuity
and disaster recovery procedures Identify potential issues and limitations
to optimize application availability
- Modify database schema design as needed including partitioning
- Implement best practices and recommend tools to manage database schemas
- Suggest improvements in database infrastructure where appropriate
- Capacity planning
- Diagnose issues in complex application architectures
- Evaluate and solicit feedback on process to identify possible areas of
improvement for optimizing transactions
- Perform impact analysis of changes to database schema objects
*Qualifications*
Candidate must have *5 years of hands-on *work experience in *Oracle
Forms/Reports, PL/SQL and related DBA activities*. In addition:
*Essential:*
- Oracle Fusion *Forms and Reports 11g* or Minimum Oracle Forms and
Reports 10g expertise
- Commanding knowledge of *Oracle PL/SQL*
- Hands-on working experience with complex/large database packages,
procedures, functions and triggers with *Oracle Database 11g R2* or
higher
- Must be able to work independently on complex Development/Enhancements
and Configuration setup with reference tables across database instances
- Must have a good understanding of *Oracle Web Logic
architecture/Oracle Applications Servers*
*Desirable:*
- Understanding of Oracle APEX, Javascript, HTML, PHP and Apache Server
a plus.
