Project Manager Washington, DC 10 months US Citizenship required Overview: As a Project Manager, you will oversee software development projects from initiation through release, delivering new and enhanced products to our client base. The Project Manager must be able to harness a distributed and multi-functional team covering digital development in all its forms (design, IXD, content, UI development, engineering and quality assurance) and have the ability to facilitate dialog between developers and product managers. This is a fast-paced environment with lots to learn. Duties & Responsibilities: • Oversee/manage multiple projects/areas within a program; ensure projects are on track and working accordingly to ensure program success. • Serve as Project Manager for software/ web development of new or enhanced products using agile methodology • Collaborate with distributed teams of product managers, developers, and QA testers to resource, define, and schedule activities required to develop and launch new software. Team members are onshore and offshore. • Define and enforce best practices. • Coordinate all production releases including weekly maintenance releases. • Provide management-level reporting on project status, risks and mitigation strategies. Requirements: • Change management experience; process change requests from inception to approval (gathering LOEs from teams, etc.). • Executive communication experience; able to produce presentation and reports for executive management. • PMO experience; experience with business case framing and standing up a PMO from scratch. • Understanding of agile concepts/methodology. Nice to have would be someone who has executed agile projects and/or has experience transforming teams from waterfall to agile. • Ability to produce program schedules. • Knowledge of SLDC methodology. • Senior level Program Managers with experience managing software development projects and programs.
