*Role: Cloud DevOps EngineerDuration: 6+ monthsLocation: San Jose, CARole and Responsibility:* Provide expert advice on OpenStack, AWS and Intercloud. Contribute to the architecture, design, implementation, delivery and maintenance of solutions provided by teams across the organization. Develop repeatable tools and processes to enable Operations teams to manage and monitor the PaaS and IaaS. Develop repeatable tools and processes to enable Development teams to deploy, manage, and monitor their own applications in the cloud. Participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues. Automate deployment and monitoring tasks. Actively participates in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluations. *Qualifications:* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 3-5 years experience building, deploying and operating complex software in a cloud environment. Strong experience with distributed systems. Solid understanding of complex IP networks. Deep familiarity with distributed configuration and high-availability. Significant experience with cloud technologies and DevOps approaches to modern software delivery. Experienced with modern software tools and approaches (gitflow, pull requests, unit tests, Ci/Cd environments like Jenkins). Experienced with container infrastructure/software development, preferably with open source projects like Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, or similar. Extremely strong linux administration skills. Extremely strong troubleshooting skills. Expertise in OpenStack, AWS and Intercloud.
