Three key requirements are:
(1) Six Sigma Black Belt Certification;
(2) hospital industry experience;
(3) strong business process improvement project management skills.
Client is seeking a Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant with Healthcare
Provider experience for an initial 3 month contracting role. Contract
extension is likely provided the consultant exceeds our client’s
expectations.
*Required skills:*
- *Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience working on Business Process
Improvement (re-engineering) efforts; great depth in creating efficient
business processes through proven processes, tools and techniques.*
- *Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.*
- *Must have healthcare provider (hospital) industry experience.*
- *Successful track record of leading and implementing strategic
business process re-engineering efforts and operational improvement
initiatives for large corporations. *
- *Strong project management, leadership, and team building skills are
required; including strong time management skills to effectively meet
multiple objectives.*
- *Well versed in process methodologies and associated process tools*.
- *Advanced skills in business process modeling, logical modeling, and
business rules documentation. *
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, experience
in presenting to executive level audiences.
- Strong relationship building skills, and ability to interact and work
effectively with all levels of personnel from senior executive management
to high level technical resources and influence key stakeholders.
- Must be able to understand the importance of stakeholders’ business
objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives (i.e.
ability to see the big picture).
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
*Responsibilities:*
- Work in tandem with Business Sponsors and Stakeholders to understand
business vision and objectives in order to define, create and implement
business process improvements that will drive efficiencies across the
Quality and Patient Safety area – mainly in clinical readmission prevention.
- Drive working sessions to define and document business process and
business requirements, incorporating the vision of the solution utilizing
proven business process improvement tools and techniques (i.e. Six Sigma,
Lean Six Sigma, etc.).
- Evaluate existing business and operational flows and define the As-Is
process models and To-Be process models for business process re-engineering
initiatives, demonstrating commitment to the company’s vision and business
strategies/objectives.
- Develop and maintain a customer-focused relationship with business
stakeholders and other IT areas by exhibiting a high level of
collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.
