*Role: Java ArchitectDuration: 12 monthsLocation: San Francisco, CA* Architect, design and implements solutions leveraging Java J2EE technologies and related frameworks. Participates in the full SDLC (Agile), including Sprint Grooming, Sprint Planning, Estimations and Iterative development. Ensures software developed is held to quality standards through code and design review. Coordinates and leads development tasks with the assigned onsite-offshore team. Creates technical design documents working along with the architecture team. Creates/Measures the release progress per standard agile development metrics. Skills Required: Proven experience in designing and architecting n-tier J2EE Solutions. Industry experience in Technology Lead position developing, designing, testing &supporting software applications. Strong concepts of OOP/OOAD and understanding of Core Java fundamentals including Collections, Exception Handling and Multithreading. Hands on experience with SPRING framework (CORE, MVC, ORM), ORM tools like Hibernate, Transaction Management, JUNIT or related unit testing framework and XML. Should be able to profile performance issues and provide recommendations to improve. Familiarity with relational database concepts, SQL and ORACLE database. Familiarity with SVN Version Control or related versioning products. Understanding of Restful Services and SOA principles. Knowledge of code quality tools like SONAR, CHECKSTYLE or PMD. Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem solving skills. Ability and desire to take project ownership. Ability to thrive in cross channel, geographically distributed environment. Experience with Maven build and dependency technology Experience with leading onsite/offshore teams Experience with agile/scrum methodology Nice to have skills: Experience with Free marker templates, Sass, HTML5, DOJO or JQuery. Experience with UML diagramming preferred. Exposure to tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Fisheye or similar.
