Please respond back to avish...@allianceit.com *Note:** Need A Consultant ASAP...!!!!!!!* *Job Title: Database Administrator (Oracle/MS SQL)* *Location: Shrewsbury, MA* *Duration: 6+ Months Contract* *Technical Skills: *Strong background in Oracle (11g) and good knowledge of SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014). *Job Desription: *The candidate shall provide a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support the UMMS IT Department with a variety of time sensitive deployments for projects in Commonwealth Medicine (CWM) and the Center for Health Care Financing (CHCF). *Specific goals for the contract resulting from this RFQ include:* Meet enterprise requirements by planning and developing database structure, developing database utilization policies, procedures, security, backup, and recovery. Maintain design structure by directing implementation of SQL standards and guidelines. Complete platform upgrades and migrations by issuing instructions, monitoring performance, and coordinating actions. Maintain data integrity by establishing standards and monitoring performance. Maintain database performance by developing tuning methodologies. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes submitted by the development team. Assist development teams in improving the performance of SQL databases. Collect, analyze and summarize database performance and trends. Responsible for some design, development, and troubleshooting activities, primarily within an Oracle database environment Assist with other, related projects as needed to accomplish the mission of the department. *Required Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field. 7+ years of database administration experience. Strong background in Oracle (11g) and good knowledge of SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014). Demonstrated experience and knowledge in database design, schema development, optimization / tuning and maintenance. Strong understanding of Oracle relational databases, data structures, and SQL. Experience with MS SQL. Experience with high availability, standby, backup and recovery. Experience with database replication/DR technologies. Scripting Experience (Shell, Perl, etc.). Proficient with Backup and Recovery. Experience with database monitoring tools. Experience within a production environment. Experience working in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments. Proven ability to prioritize, plan and organize projects built on Oracle platforms. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to provide off-hour support when required. Excellent communication skills. *Preferred Qualifications:* Oracle ASM experience preferred. Oracle certification(s) preferred.
