Advanced SQL Knowledge.Key: Two years mortgage loan originations experience is Plus.JOB SUMMARY:Software quality assurance analyst responsible for testing mortgage loan originations projects and bug fixes.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The Quality Assurance Analyst, a member of the QA Team within the IT Originations organization, is primarily responsible for the independent testing of mortgage loan originations projects and bug fixes. Duties include reviewing business, security, and compliance requirements, creating test strategies and test plans traceable to those requirements, capturing defects, and providing project-level and executive reporting. This position will require the execution of various testing types such as functionality, error, regression, system, acceptance, and performance. Candidate will also assist with User Acceptance Testing activities as well as post-implementation defect root cause analysis.FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES:Ability to:•Review business requirements and technical specifications of current software development projects•Convert business requirements and specifications into a QA test plans, cases and test scripts•Execute test cases, report progress and document defects and other issues in a timely and accurate manner•Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects providing Development/Business Analyst partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and prevent future occurrences the defect•Document and enter test defect tickets discovered during the test cycle•Follow up on outstanding issues to meet testing timelines•Ensure that no defective products are moved to end user testing or production environments without stakeholder approval•Identify opportunities for continuous improvementNote: Strong ETL, Data warehousing and BI report testing knowledge.
