Web Services - Analysis, Design, Development Overview: Seeking a highly qualified Oracle PL/SQL Sr Developer for a project with the Public Works Department of a large major metropolitan area. Experience working in the public sector is highly desirable. Roles & Responsibilities: • Supports and maintains all databases in production and lab environment including capacity planning and performance tuning • Deploy new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools. • Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database. • Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases. • Works with development team to support database re-organizations as required and assisting with performance and ensuring maximum uptime of the database. • Works with development team to evaluate releases of Oracle and its tools, and third party products to ensure optimal production performance. • Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database. • Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures. • Responsible for and serves as the SME for troubleshooting, triage and getting DB’s back online in the event of an outage or impact Technical/Functional Skills: • Strong working experience in Oracle PL/SQL application development skills and excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views, Materialized Views, Cursors, and XML features and writing and tuning complex SQL queries Experience Required: • Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL application development skills and excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views, Materialized Views, Cursors, and XML features and writing and tuning complex SQL queries. • Experience in Healthcare industry • Experience in Implementing data models and database designs • Experienced with Stored procedure creation/debugging/ optimization/tuning • Writing and creating data load scripts and stored procedures; ensuring that data is loaded in a timely manner daily • Working with application developers to assist in database design, query tuning, index assignment, and trigger and procedure creation • Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems using PL/SQL programming skills • Ensuring that the integrity of company databases is maintained • Actively helping our Data Integrity team reconcile data • Excellent communication skills; works well in a team environment.
