*Responsibilities: *
· Play a lead role in interacting with all necessary stakeholders
to help define functional requirements relative to a healthcare insurance
financial billing initiative.
· Define systems scope and objectives of business
requirements, *including
documentation of requirements (i.e. use cases)* and translation into system
requirement specifications.
· *Lead requirements gathering sessions and create process flows
and current/future state documentation using Visio.*
· *Evaluate existing business and operational flows and define the
As-Is process models, then define To-Be process models for business process
re-engineering initiatives.*
· Identify, recommend, and define process improvement opportunities
related to requirements management best practices where appropriate.
· Develop and maintain a customer-focused relationship with
business stakeholders and other IT areas by exhibiting a high level of
collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.
· Lead from both a business and IT perspective; clearly setting
expectations for each project major milestone and then managing the
business and the project teams to those expectations.
*Required Skills:*
- *Minimum 10 years of total I.T. experience including at least 8 years
of experience as a Business Analyst; including some experience in a Lead
Business Analyst role. *
- *Any project management experience is a big plus.*
- *Healthcare industry experience is a required! Exposure to billing
financial systems is a plus.*
· *Familiarity with the BABOK and principles (best practices).*
· *Strong understanding of requirements management best practices.*
- Must have previous experience working as a consultant in a corporate
environment.
· *Solid understanding of the following: Business / Functional /
System Requirements (and creating these documents), UML, Object Oriented
Analysis (OOA), Business Process Modeling, Root Cause Analysis, Use Case
narratives, Requirements Traceability, Business Rules Analysis and Test
Case Development.*
· *Excellent team building skills including the ability to coach
and mentor less senior business analysts.*
- Experience with leading requirements gathering sessions and JAD
sessions.
- Solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills; and ability to
work with all levels of an organization’s technical and business
departments in order to meet key deliverables.
- Solid analytical, technical and problem solving skills; ability to
multi-task.
- Customer and goal focused; needs to understand the importance of a
strategic initiative to the business and is able to set client expectations
appropriately.
- Ability to display strong sense of urgency and work with minimal
supervision in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment.
- Very strong organizational, task management and prioritization skills.
· *Any experience with Requirements Management tools (i.e.
Requisite Pro, Blueprint, Doors, Caliber RM, etc.) is a plus.*
- Bachelor’s degree is a must.
