Job Title: Data Architect Location: Columbus OH Duration: 2+ Months Description: - Focusing on re-architecting the database. - It is OLTP, highly normalized in 3NF and about 3TB in size. - Oracle 11.2.0.4. - We have a requirement that all PII and PCI data must be stored in country. - I’m trying to figure out how we might federate and segregate the database to meet this requirement. - It will be too costly from both a licensing and administrative perspective to stand-up the entire Oracle database in every country. - We’re looking at a small, country specific database coupled with a larger regionalized database. - The small in-country database will likely be open-source like MySQL or Postgres.
