*Position : COBOL developer, * *Duration : Part/time (20 to 40 hrs. wk.) Duration 12 months.* *Location : Albany NY.* *Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:* - Provide general system design, application programming, unit and integration testing of developed programs and documentation of those efforts. - Programming tasks may include complete unit routines or functional routines that make up discrete parts of functional units. - Programming will utilize structured COBOL. *PART A: The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:* *Expert Level* *You must be an Expert Developer / COBOL, Unisys with doumented employment experience of 7+ years (84+ months).* · You must have experience with analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. · Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. · Write application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions. · You must be able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. *PART B: Requested Desirable Qualifications: The numbered qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 2 of numbers 1 through 4. * 1. Minimum 84 months experience working directly with COBOL 74 and/or 85 programming on Unisys 2200 series or ClearPath mainframes. Experience should include system analysis and design, programming, and unit and integrated testing. 1. Minimum 84 months experience utilizing Unisys ECL, TIP and DMS 2200/RDMS. 2. Minimum 84 months experience monitoring production work and performing error diagnostic/debugging activities in a mainframe environment. 3. Minimum 84 months experience creating and maintaining documentation related to designing, programming, and testing in a mainframe environment.
