*Position: SSIS Architect* *Length: 6 months w/option for additional time* *Location: Troy, MI* Overview: The SSIS Architect MUST have prior hands-on experience designing and setting up of ETL environments (dev/qa/prod) and leading/delivering successful Data Migration/Data Warehousing. This individual should have skills to participate in all aspects of the Data Migration/ETL development lifecycle using Microsoft BI technology, with emphasis on Data Quality Services implementation and ETL development. The individual will be working with the data architects/DBAs, and the development team to deliver the artifacts and the code. · This project will work primarily through our headquarters in Detroit. · Our client is based in Texas and the candidate will need to be able to travel as needed to Texas - 25% . · Our client is primarily a product development company for healthcare / physician backend administrative and medical records. They have acquired 4 other products recently and the main responsibilities for this role will be to lead, deliver, and implement data migration of the acquired products. Requirements: 1. Must have 2+ years of experience in architecting and setting up of ETL environments using SQL Server 2008 - 2012 and SSIS o SQL Server 2008 - 2012 (MUST) o Strong in T-SQL, Stored Procedures o Thorough knowledge and experience with XML and ability to generate, parse and modify XML 2. Participate in customer team meetings and conversations with client personnel to understand business and technical requirements including requirements definition, data quality, ETL (SSIS), and development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support. o Create and maintain a variety of related artifacts (e.g., requirements, process models or diagrams, data matrices, project deliverables). o Create High Level Design o Create Detailed Technical Design o Understand Business Requirements and Conceptual Solution o Convert Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and Design 3.
