Location : Ann Arbor, MI*

Responsibilities*
- Install and configure new SQL Servers
- Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including
after-hours and weekends
- Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
- Deploy database change scripts provided by customers and third party
vendors
- When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to
increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration
changes, or index/query changes
- Document the company's database environment
- Test backups to ensure we can meet the business' Recovery Time
Objectives (RTO)
- Work on daily customer request and projects
*Job Requirement*
- 7+ years in SQL Server database administration
- Must have recent experience with SQL Server 2012 or 2014
- Must have recent experience with SQL Always On
- Database Performance Tuning
- Database Security
- Promoting Process Improvement
- Problem Solving
- Presenting Technical Information
- Quality Focus
- Database Management
- Data Maintenance
- Windows Operating Systems
- Information Security Policies
- Windows fail-over clustering
- SQL Always-On
- Hadoop experience a plus
- DB2 experience is a plus
