*Position : EMC Storage Level 3 * *Location : Dallas, TX,* *Duration : 10+ Months * *Interview : Phone / Skype* *USC ,GC , EAD GC only* *Job Description* · Minimum 5-8 Years relevant working knowledge of* Enterprise-class EMC Storage* · Strong Storage concepts on *LUN mapping/creation, F/C Switch Configuration and Zoning.* · Good *Exposure on Monitoring and Replication Strategies (Business Copy, Continuous Access)* · Working knowledge of* Enterprise-class Fiber Switch/Director Hardware from Cisco and Brocade* *required * * Job Responsiblities* · Adhering to SLAs · Mentoring / Training Team Members · Handling tickets / requests · Perform root cause analysis · Troubleshooting technical issues · Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to · Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration · Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA · Understanding of Multi-geo support environment · Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment · Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario · Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction · Suggests new technologies and design changes · Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members · Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support · Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level · Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time · Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating * JOB REQUIREMENT* · Management, maintenance and implementation of *EMC Storage environment (Symmetrix ,VMAX, VNX (file and block), Isilon, RPA, VPLEX)* · Design and implementation of SAN which includes *installing and configuring of EMC storage boxes and fibre channel switches* · Manage fiber switches/*directors from Brocade and Mcdata (Zoning / VSANs / FC-IP / ISL setup )* · Installing and configure RPAs · Installing and configuring nee VMAX and VNX arrays. · *Storage provisioning,LUNManagement,LUNmasking,zoning,performance management and volume management(Planning,allocations and de-allocations) .* · Thin provisioning · Installation, configuration and operation of EMC software products (ECC,Powerpath,Solution enabler, Timefinder and SRDF) · *Monitoring and Timefinder Clone/Mirror/Snap operations using SYMCLI/ECC/SMC/Navisphere manager/NAVICLI.* · Manage SRDF operations across storages. SRDF/S, SRDF/A and others.RDF1/RDF2 sync/split using SYMCLI. · Solution architecting, Extensive provisioning , new implementations, large upgrades or migration of the Boxes. · Disaster recovery infrastructure planning,building,testing and product research/new release evaluation. · Monitoring and optimization of the *performance,tuning,capacity planning, proactive monitoring and automation of storage boxes.* · Storage* virtualization* and good technical exposure in *Virtual provisioning and auto provisioning groups in VMAX.* · Manage *Clariion arrays using Navisphere manager and working knowledge of NAS(Celerra).* · Manage *multipathingsoftwares (EMC Powerpath, HPUX Pvlinks, VERITAS DMP).* · *Provide daily, weekly and monthly storage status reports. * · Comfortable in opening case with EMC and driving them to closure. · Liaise and work with hardware/software vendors and project groups as required. · Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target.
