Performs research and analysis - recommending solutions and driving decisions and. · This candidate should be a strong utility type of programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently between different languages and tasks. · The candidate should be able to interact effectively with project managers, developers, technical operations, etc. · · *Job Requirement* · Exceptional system / technical analysis skills. · Must demonstrate experience designing & delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation · Minimum of five years OO analysis and design experience. · 5-7 years technical leadership experience w/distributed systems, preferably 3 years w/ EJB. · Strong problem solving skills, ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together. · Proven development experience in large-scale, enterprise-style financial services applications. · Proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of Java applications. Experience developing solutions within an Application Container; experience developing Java services; web services is a plus · Experience with Database access methods and simple SQL constructs. · Experience with ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA) is a plus · Familiarity with key business concepts and challenges of investment-processing components such as portfolio accounting, asset data and operations · Understand Asynchronous and Synchronous transactions and processing. · Experience with JMS, MDBs, MQ is a plus · Work experience with any of the following – Linux/UNIX/Solaris/AIX; Shell programming/PERL, Groovy · Work experience in developing Web Applications with Java Script, HTML, JSPs.
