Phone/Skype 6 Months *Principal Accountabilities:* • Provide technical expertise and support for VMware technologies including: including vCenter, ESXi, SSO Server, Site Recovery Manager, NSX, and vRealize; • Provide design guidance and best practices for the VMware NSX/vRA environment; • Ensure VMware servers are reliable and available and maintain servers at recommended patch and release levels following standard change management procedures; • Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve technical and administrative problems on VMware servers; • Evaluate and/or recommend hardware and software purchases and provide recommendations for architectural design and enhancements; • Facilitate technical support as needed including but not limited to architectural reviews, compliance reviews and various project artifacts. *Technical Requirements:* • Minimum of five years of experience in installation, configuration, and operational support of VMware products; including vCenter, ESXi, SSO Server, Site Recovery Manager • Proven experience planning, deploying and maintaining VMware’s NSX software defined networking solution. Troubleshoot NSX Manager, NSX Controller, Distributed Logical Routers, and other Edge devices • Experience planning, deploying and maintaining VMware’s vRealize Automation (formerly vCloud Automation Center) • Experience planning, deploying and maintaining VMware’s Log Insight • Experience utilizing vRealize Operations to generate meaningful data metrics and automate repeatable tasks • Familiarity with underlying storage and network environments, including SAN, NFS, Distributed Switches, VLANs, and Firewalls • Familiarity with Linux OS and troubleshooting skills required to SSH into an ESXi Host and determine root cause analysis • Hardware support experience racking, cabling and labeling news hosts. UCS blade experience preferred.
