Description: Sybase Developer Location: Weehawken, NJ Length: 12 months Start: ASAP Interview: phone Working with clients to map source data systems to target data systems as well as working with delivery teams to define the platform database and data access layer. • Understanding client source databases and creating mappings between source and target. • Creating physical and logical database models as per the business requirements. • Managing and monitoring performance, capacity, and security of database systems. • Preparing documentation regarding database design, configuration and change management tasks. • Studying and understanding business needs and communicating architecture to the business based on their needs. • Understanding technology limitations and features and setting expectations for our business partners. • Creating and enforcing database architecture and design standards across a variety of DBMS platforms. Qualifications Include: • 3+ years of Experience designing and developing databases in Sybase. • Understanding of how to design a database schema. • Ability to design fault tolerant environments. • Understanding of how the entire application stack works together. • Ability to work with clients to help define where we will get data.
