The Engineer will be responsible for learning about the nuances of client
application environment, custom Point of Sale application and familiarize
themselves with setup/configuration details of AppDynamics.
Maintain, operate, report, modify and manage AppDynamics operations on an
on-going basis, in close coordination with the client's Applications
Management team to surface ongoing performance issues, proactively manage
performance bottlenecks, manage reporting and administer the AppDynamics
tool as necessary.
Depending on qualifying skill set (Dev/QA), assist in development or
testing activities in addition to AppDynamics monitoring periodically
as-needed by client. We expect that this resource will be qualified enough
to manage the tool and work with the team with minimal ramp up time.
Additionally, since this would be an operational resource, we have been
informed that this might begin as a part-time resource to begin with and
transition to a 40 hour engagement depending on skills set/client need
alignment.
*DELIVERABLES:*
· Documentation of AppDynamics configuration/setup , baselines,
thresholds
· Periodic reports to different stakeholders
· Documentation/communication reports of performance
issues/bottlenecks
· Recommendations to improve usage of AppDynamics , built through
discussions with App management team and other stakeholders
· (Secondary skill set - depending on client need in future)
Development/testing as needed by core client team
*REQUIRED SKILLS:*
· Must have strong AppDynamics configuration/setup, baselines,
thresholds and monitoring experience
· Must have experience in (Java) custom application development,
applications performance engineering/monitoring, application testing for
custom front-end applications.
· Development and testing experience including:
§ Junit and Jmeter
§ Java
§ SQL
§ Javascript
§ C#
