The DevOps position will be responsible for building the next generation of
systems infrastructure and cloud, focusing on automation, availability and
performance.
The DevOps Release Engineer will be responsible for build and releases in
development, test and production environments.
- Maintains releases and manages key information such as build and
release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
- Maintains environment release information across multiple lab
environments such as software and configuration baseline version.
- Process and baseline all change control requests pertaining to releases
- Proactive at identifying ways to improve processes to make them more
reliable and efficient Communicate with software engineers, QA engineers,
and operations staff on schedules and priorities and ensure the releases
are on track
- 3 years of release management experience
- Must have sufficient knowledge in Object-oriented programming
concepts; Java/JEE preferred
- Strong knowledge of source repository administration (SVN/GIT) &
experience utilizing software build/configuration tools such as
Hudson/Jenkins, Maven and Ant is essential.
- Knowledge of scripting language skills on the Linux platform: Bash
Shell, Python, or Perl.
- Hand on experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
- Experience with designing, building, and/or maintaining continuous
integration systems
- Ability to multi-task, be highly organized, and work independently.
- Experience with AWS a plus
- Experience with relational databases a plus
- Experience working with Agile release cycles
