*Job Description :*
8+ years of experience required.
Ø Database Administrator for large and complex databases in SQL Server
2012, SQL Server 2008 R2, 2008 and 2005.
Ø Extensive experience in *Installation and configuration of SQL
Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012.*
Ø Technical proficiency in handling *Microsoft SQL* Database related
issues both in *production* and *non-production* environments.
Ø Experience in scheduling *Backups, Restore and Maintenance plans *using
Native and Third-party tools. (SQLite speed & IBM TSM)
Ø Experience in installing and configuring *SqlLiteSpeed* and
configuring it on *cluster *and *standalone* servers.
Ø Hands on experience in *Migration* of *SQL Server 2005* to *SQL
Server 2008 & SQL 2012 (side by side and in place).Lower version to higher
version(SQL 2012)*
Ø Experience in applying *service packs* & *hot fixes*
Ø Experience in Configure and maintain* Log shipping, Database Mirroring*
.
Ø Experience in Configure and maintain *Transactional, Merge *and *Snapshot
Replication*.
Good Knowledge of Installation of SQL Server in *Cluster Environment*
.
Ø Experience *Active/Active *and *Active/Passive *clustering for failover.
Ø Experience in *installing and configuring* MS SQL 2008R2, 2008 and
2005 *Integration
and Reporting* services.
Ø Checking the *General Health* of the servers and the databases.
Ø Experience in using different Recovery models *Simple, Full and
Bulk-logged* depending on Application requirement.
Ø Knowledge on *rebuilding* master/msdb databases during crash situations
Experience in *Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server
Connectivity, Database consistency checks* using *DBCC Utilities &
DMVS(Dynamic management Views)*
Ø Creating *Linked Servers* for *OLEDB* Databases.
Ø Experience with creating *Alerts, Schema management, Database
Reorganization (Automation).*
Ø Hands on experience in *Suspect Database* related issues.
Ø Preparing *monthly and weekly metrics*
Ø Adhere to ITIL processes and ability to work in *PROD, DEV,TEST* and *QA*
environments.
Ø On call *troubleshooting* experience.
Ø Excellent *communication* skills.
