Need someone with minimum 8 Years’ experience
*Some of the skills and attributes include:*
- C# - Ability to read and implement code including LINQ, lambdas,
generics, inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism, & follows proper code
formatting
- Visual Studio and Visual Studio Team Services and/or Team Foundation
Server – experience with Git preferred but not mandatory
- SQL Server – comfortable developing stored procedures, queries, etc.
- REST Services – understands resources, HTTP verbs, JSON, etc.
- ASP.NET – MVC, Web API, etc.
- WCF – familiarity with WCF services
- Quality Development Practices – comfortable with paired programming
(~80-90% of the time), experience in writing unit tests and following
Test-Driven Development practices, and familiarity with software design
patterns (e.g. MVC, MVVM, IoC, etc.)
- Troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio, Postman, stack traces and
other/comparable tools.
- Ability to:
- Work in a team environment
- Collaborate with other groups/teams to gain a better understanding
of the product being built and to help come up with the best design and
approach for what is truly needed
- Communicate ideas clearly with teammates face to face
- Collaborates around solving problems and can support a team decision
- Learn new concepts and technologies
- Develop initial concept and apply iterative changes based on
feedback
- Start and complete tasks with a persistent attitude
- Understand financial industry concepts
The majority of the “projects” that the team works on are small in nature
(by design). The person that ends up filling this position should be
comfortable working with small (typically less than a few weeks at a time)
projects and comfortable with getting out of their seat to walk around
asking questions (e.g. of other developers, business analysts, business
teams, IT teams, etc.).
