location - Las Vegas NV *Position: (Network security engineer )
SIEM Specialist and SOC and Incident Management * *Location :
Las Vegas NV* *Location: 6 Months Plus* · Act
as the subject matter expert for the customer’s SIEM solution. ·
Maintain SIEM operations and document current environment. ·
Work with external teams to ensure all necessary logging sources are
reporting to the SIEM. · Creation of technically detailed
reports on the status of the SIEM to include metrics on items such as
number of logging sources; log collection rate, and server
performance. ·
Incorporate change management into all system changes. ·
Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving a wide variety of client
issues. · Initiative and a personal interest in
Information Technology Security. · People skills, and the
ability to communicate effectively with various clients with the ability to
explain and elaborate on technical details. · Experience
with industry recognized SIEM solutions such as *MacAfee, ArcSight,
Splunk, LogRhythm, AlienVault, etc.* · Relevant IT
certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc. · Vendor
certification in a SIEM technology. · Experience with
change control policy and procedures. · Proficient in
Incident Management and Response · Experience in security
device management and SIEM (MacAfee, Splunk) · In-depth
knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat
vectors, risk management, incident management etc. ·
Experience in threat management · Knowledge of various
operating system flavors including but not limited to Windows, Linux,
Unix ·
Email Security Operations · Knowledge of
applications, databases, middleware to address security threats against the
same. · Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards
and documentation · Excellent communication and leadership
skills · Experience in performing vendor management ·
Ability to handle high pressure situations with key
stakeholders ·
Good Analytical skills, Problem solving and Interpersonal
skills ·
Working knowledge and experience with MS office with proficiency
in Excel
