DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one
Network Engineer, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general
qualifications of ITSAC Network Engineer Category, Emerging Technology Type
and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Department of
Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered
"works made for hire" and are the property of the HHSC. HHSC may include
pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit
to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law.
HHSC will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the
process of selecting a Worker(s).
Duties:
A. Assist agency staff in the installation and configuration of a new MS
Exchange 2007 server farm.
B. Assist in server configuration, application installation and
configuration.
C. Assist with implementation of migration software, Installation and
configuration of ISA servers and associated servers.
D. Will assist in setting up servers to provide for basic disaster
recovery options, work with Hubs, Routers and switches to integrate servers
into existing LAN/WAN infrastructure.
E. Other duties as assigned.
Other Special Requirements:
Request that vendors have completed background checks on anyone submitted
for consideration.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
3 Experience working with interfacing WAN /LAN configurations for email
applications
1 Experience in installation and configuration of MS Exchange Server 2007
1 Experience in upgrade and migration of accounts from Exchange 5.5 to
Exchange 2007
1 Experience in installation and configuration of medium to large MS
Exchange Server 2007 environment
1 Experience with migration software (Quest Exchange Migration Wizard)
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
5 Experience with server level administration of MS Exchange versions 5.5
through 2007
