The position also plays an instrumental role in the technical design of the solution, the pilot and deployment of the solution and the ongoing support on the solution. The position provides subject matter expertise in an array of specialties including imaging, document management, middleware solutions, legacy systems, managed services, and other components. *Education/Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technical discipline or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five (5) years of directly applicable IT and consulting experience. Experience should include extremely complex client implementations. Recognized as a subject matter expert, including relevant business process knowledge. *Essential Skills:* *• Significant industry/service delivery experience in an imaging/document management environment o extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of customer’s imaging environment including work processes, deliverables, common tools used, pain-points* *o Knowledge of the competition (direct or indirect)* *o Possesses a Certified Document Imaging Architecture (CDIA) status (is a + but not required)* • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the customer, the development, test and operations teams as well as management. • *Significant experience with software development life-cycles, PMI and CMM.* • Exceptional project management, documentation, presentation and user training skills and practical experience in related activities and familiarity with cutting edge tools and systems. • Possesses excellent negotiating and conflict resolution skills; not afraid to voice opinion in the presence of non-agreeing team members but does so w/ good interpersonal skills. *• Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment which is challenging, and somewhat demanding. PL/SQL is a plus.* • Possesses excellent problem solving and analytical skills. • Must be willing to travel, if necessary to a customer site to perform/participate in initial requirements gathering sessions as well as possible deployment of projects. • Ensure that all communications outside the deployment team are consistent with the position of the deployment team, Development Manager and maintain a collective communication showing that Xerox is speaking with the same voice and with teamwork. *Job Duties: * *Responsibilities:* • The Systems Engineer is the primary owner of the solution from post sales through Pilot. • Responsible for the WBS which will be input to the project plan and overall Master Production Schedule. • Work with Development on the configuration of the platform and produce Solutions Guide and Workflow diagram representing the solution needed to meet the customer requirements using standard deployment templates. • Owns and drives the solution design, implementation, test, problem resolution and deployment of the project working closely with the Project Manager, developers and cross-functional team on all deployment activities to ensure successful deployment of projects. • Provide test sets and input to QA for the development of test plans and works with the Project Manager to create training material. • Owns and works with development to produce documentation on all custom services and applications. • Facilitate change management processes to ensure all changes are properly documented, estimated, planned and executed. o Works with stakeholders and writes CRs for deployment of project from development to QA and submits to CCB for approval. o Works with stakeholders and writes CRs for deployment of project from staging to Production and submits to CCB approval. • Leads and performs technical investigations on new/existing technologies to help with deployment of new projects and enhancements to existing projects. • Validates the solution to ensure that XIS requirements and the intent of the customer requirements is met prior to deploying in the QA environment. • Provide technical support to Solutions Architects, Project Managers, Management and Operations as needed. • Participate in design/code reviews with developers as needed. • Work with external and internal customer advocates to ensure successful deployment and use of the application. • Maintain a deep knowledge of the software platform, including its feature set, its limitations, design, and architecture and willing and able to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
