Position: Senior SharePoint Admin/Developer. Duration: 9 - 12 months Location: New York City Rate: open Financial Background Experience is a Big Plus Description: Our client, a major brokerage firm located in downtown Manhattan is looking for a Sharepoint Web Infrastructure Specialist Job Description: The candidate must have extensive infrastructure skills in the design, packaging, delivery and support of web infrastructure technologies. . We need a Senior person with extensive support background, strong writing and communication skills and can independently manage the project . We are looking for someone who has a vast experience in Installing, Configuring and Deploying and developing SharePoint Products (SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007). The consultant person has to have been a SharePoint admin/developer for the last 2-3 years and also worked with other Microsoft technologies like TFS and others. But mostly this role is SharePoint administration/development This role requires that the candidate assist with the following: * IIS and SharePoint automated installation and configuration and maintenance * suporting develoment team on ASP, ASP.NET including Web Part * Interdact with development teams and with engineering; assist in the design, testing and deployment of the custom code while preserving the stability of the shared platform. * Act as a regional subject matter expert, training the rest of the team. * Designing infrastructure as a highly available shared service * Process design and implementation exp. * Strong Documentation skills and ability to interact with key customers. Qualifications: The candidate must have extensive infrastructure skills in the design, packaging, delivery and support of web infrastructure technologies. Experience with SharePoint 2003 / 2007, IIS, Windows O/S, ASP and ASP.NET. and supporting infrastructure components. In-depth understanding of Web based technologies and Web Services. IDEAL CANDIDATE: - Extensive experience with SharePoint Portal Server 2003/2007. Developing solutions building Web Parts. - Developing a Sharepoint portal site to manage all project specific documents and information. - Must be able to work well within a team environment, have exceptional oral and written communication skills MAJOR PLUS: * Web Part development SharePoint branding and customization; Windows O/S, VBScript, ASP and ASP.NET. * Web Infrastructure or Engineering background Financial / Investment Banking Experience . Big plusses that this group is actually looking for. . TFS2008 . SQL2005/08 . SSRS, SSIS and SSAS. . Development background is a plus. .
