Position: Senior Network Administrator
Duration: 6 months
Location: New York City{only locals}
Rate: $40 per hour in corp to corp
Financial Background Experience is a Big Plus
FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED
This candidate would need to meet or exceed the following criteria:
. Interact well with team members and the business to accomplish
business objectives
. Ability to learn quickly and the drive to understand underlying
behaviors of software and hardware
. Ability to think clearly and methodically in fast paced
environment.
. All Cisco Routing Protocol's (BGP, EIGRP OSPF A MUST)
. Cisco Switching Protocols (VTP, STP, etc..)
. Excellent Visio Documentation abilities
. Works with Helpdesk to troubleshoot network issues
. Good communication skills
Position Detail
Role(s)
. Lead role in network planning, engineering and architecture.
Assists in long-term strategic planning to ensure network capacity meets
current and future network requirements.
Responsibilities
Highly available and redundant networking environment
. Knowledge and experience with network management systems for
tracking, trending, and alerting on network events using SNMP
. Develops technical documentation and evaluates new products
. Participates in the on-call rotation
. Coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on the
organizations network infrastructure
. Maintains records including problem documentation and actions taken
. Installs, configures and maintains all Firewall's, Routers and
Switches on the local and wide area network
. May instruct and oversee the activities of Network Administrators
performing the same type of work
Required Skills/ Competencies
The candidate must have experience and/or competencies in the following
concentrations :
. Cisco CCNP or equivalent
. Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
. TCP/IP operations (7 layers of the OSI Model)
. Knowledge of Firewall behavior and best practices
. Cisco VPN Concentrator and ASA
. Disaster Recovery Planning
. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio Professional
. Work with ISP provider to troubleshoot and resolve WAN issues
. Excellent communication skills

. Understanding of Sniffer technology
. IPX/SPX Routing
. Cisco CSM and IDS/IPS technologies
. SNMP MIB browsing and monitoring troubleshooting
