Title: AJAX Developer

Location: Trevose, PA

Rate : Competitive

Duration: short term

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

.         Uses expertise in AJAX, XML, HTML, CSS, J Query web services and
ASP.NET (VB) to design browser-based applications.

.         Specifically programs and develops browser-based applications
using TIBCO General Interface (JavaScript/AJAX).

.         If needed, programs and develops back-end web services in ASP.NET
(Visual Basic) to support front-end user interface.

.         Works with the WSS 3.0 SharePoint intranet environment.

.         Supports and enhances the user interface portion of the existing
Claims2Work business application, which was written using TIBCO General
Interface AJAX toolkit.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

.         Consults with user management and technical staff as necessary to
clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes and determine
required coding.

.         Performs and/or coordinates the technical evaluation of software
packages related to AJAX technologies.

.         Project manages assigned applications.

.         Performs ongoing administrative tasks, including time reporting,
as assigned.

.         Occasionally assists support team in resolving after hours
emergency situations.

Education / Prior Experience Required:

*       Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or
equivalent experience.

.         2+ years of related experience.

.         Knowledge and experience with ASP.NET development.

.         Programming experience and strong technical skills in
JavaScript/AJAX development (experience with TIBCO GI a plus).

.         Expertise in web service technologies, including XML, SOAP, REST
and JSON.

.         Expertise and skills in user interaction design.

Additional Qualities and Skills Required:

.         Ability to work with minimal direction.

.         Experience with debugging and performance tuning of browser-based
applications.

.         Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.

.         Ability to lead or participate actively in architectural
discussions. Must be as much a software designer as a coder.

*       Knowledge of healthcare order and distribution systems and/or
healthcare finance systems would be a plus but is not required.
