*Job Title:* Data Architect *Location:* Richmond, VA *Duration : 8+* *month* *Interview : Telephonic + F2F* *Essential Skills/Competencies:* · Extensive experience with Data Modeling and Database Design · Extensive experience mapping data and building out data integrations between disparate database systems · Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors · Ability for an end-to-end vision (see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive stages involved for presentation to an end-user) · Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs) · Experience with ETL tools · Experience with integration between COTS package databases and relational databases · Data Validation, Cleansing, Mapping, Extraction and Migration · SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) · Create and manage Data Dictionaries · Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking · Clear and concise documentation skills · High level knowledge of programming practices · Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses · Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner · Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team environment · Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required · Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities · Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders · 5 yrs.
