Most importantly meets production standards- Actively contribute to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) roadmap and enterprise data architecture and data management standards- Contribute to the data warehouse practice through the implementation and maintenance of production policies and procedures as needed- Mentor and provide direction to junior developers and / or offshore partners in the support and maintenance team where you will act as technical lead for the organizationThe Data Warehouse Administrator primary responsibilities include• Monitor daily Business Objects Data Services (BODS) ETL jobs, checking and resolving errors and assist in identifying and resolving performance issues• Install, deploy and upgrade data warehouse systems applications; maintain documentation, and perform routine systems administration maintenance activities• Monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability.• Develop, implement, and oversee database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of all enterprise data warehouse and accompanying software / tools.• Review logical and physical databases design changes to understand how changes to be made affect physical database (how data is stored in terms of physical characteristics such as location, amount of space, and access method).• Assist in the selection, configuration, and implementation of all hardware platforms intended to support a database and its associated applications. Acts as the central point of focus for all data warehouse production issues.• Collaborate with the other IT teams in delivering robust, high quality and effective Data Warehouse solutions.• Provide coaching and mentoring to business users, team members and other IT staff on data warehouse design and data management best practices, techniques, standards and approaches.• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and process errors relating to DW database.
