Contract Manager (Vendor Management) Level 2 Lake County, Illinois 4-6 months+ **Locals Preferred** Job Description: . Performing a full spectrum of standard contract management duties; . Applying advanced skills to identify and resolve complex problems not independently covered by existing contract language, procedures or practices; . Providing advice/recommendation and interpretation of contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure to the applicable Business Unit management; . Consulting with management regarding implementation concerns including amendments and settlements; . Verifying contract compliance with Limits of Authority Process and summarizing risks for management review and approval; . Writing, reviewing, analyzing, modifying and negotiating contracts and contract modifications to achieve acceptable levels of risk; . Performing as a lead member in a multi-disciplined negotiating team consisting of personnel from Sales, Marketing, Proposals, Engineering and Project Implementation. . Analyzing customer's contractual terms and conditions and recommending innovative approaches to contract requirements, obligations and risk exposures; EDUCATION . Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering focus. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: . Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups. . Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities. . The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and generate team consensus to move forward; this also includes meeting facilitation skills. . Excellent communication and writing skills . Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. . Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. . Strong sense of prioritization and customer orientation is required. . Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. . Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency with assigned tasks and their timely completion Looking for resource to start ASAP. top requirements for this role are for finding a resource who is really good at writing contracts and sows. Someone who has experience authoring sow's and contracts to ensure that they can author some critical sows and terms for our initiative - it is important that they know how IT contracts, IT SLAs and managed services/support works. This person will be from my team and will be working extensively with purchasing, outsourcing and VMO and of course some of our business to author the documents. It would be preferred if they have previous experience writing these type of sows.
