Title: *Tivoli (TWS) Scheduler*

Location: Multiple Locations

Duration: Long term



*Description:*

This is a TWS Scheduler position, not a developer. The person must have
done scheduling of jobs/schedules that are internal to the software.
Prefers to see TWS Composer which is the tool that is used to schedule.



*Duties/Responsibilities:*

The candidate for the Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/Maestro) developer
position will be responsible for developing TWS batch schedules/jobs and
basic TWS administration as part of the client's Interface Team. The
Interface Team is responsible for developing and maintaining interfaces
between the client's applications which are pivotal to the client's
operations in Europe and North America. The ideal candidate will have
several years of experience in TWS and experience loading and extracting
TWS objects using the TWS Composer command line interface. The candidate
should also have a very good understanding of UNIX, Linux and Windows
operating systems as well as Korn Shell scripting. This candidate will work
with various application team members and developers from other teams to
perform their development work and they will be responsible for maintenance
and support of the existing interface processes including investigation of
issues and production support for the client's operation. The candidate
will also be responsible for creating documentation for the processes that
they develop as well as updating documentation for processes that they are
changing and/or enhancing. This position will be a key member of JRIA's
internal interface team.



*Required Skills:*

• *3+ years of experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS, formerly
known as Unison Maestro) and must have detailed knowledge of the TWS
Composer command line interface*.

• *3+ years of experience with Tivoli Job Scheduling Console (JSC) version
8.x*.

• *Experience with Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console (DWC) version 8.5+.*

• *5+ years of experience working in UNIX (AIX) or Linux Operating systems*.

• *5+ years of Unix Shell scripting preferably Korn shell*.

• Basic knowledge of *Perl scripting* is helpful, but NOT required.

• Experience with business analysis and development tool sets, including
the MS Office Suite, Visio, vi text editor (familiar with) and PVCS version
control system (PVCS is helpful, but NOT required).

• Experience in working in all phases of a full project life cycle,
including low-level design.



*Computer skills are a must with the following software development tools:*

• Application: Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS, formerly known as Maestro).

• Scripting languages: Korn Shell, Perl.

• Programming tools: familiar with vi text editor, PVCS version control
system (PVCS is helpful, but NOT required).

• Operating Systems: UNIX (AIX), Linux, Windows.

• MS Office Applications: Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint.

• Good communication skills (oral and written) are a must.
