*JOB DESCRIPTION* :
• Design processes to extract, transform and load the source data
to the target data warehouse.
• Develop complex sequential and parallel DataStage 9.1 jobs.
• Perform unit and system testing on the ETL processes and
resulting data warehouse tables
• Install and configure upgrades of DataStage 11.x releases and
hot fixes among various distributed test and production environments.
• Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
• Mentor others on the team with product functionalityand provide
guidelines and solutions on performance tuning techniques and industry best
practices.
• Understanding the existing ETL environment, translating into
new environment requirements and planning tasks to meet those requirements.
• Design of ETL process using IBM Datastage
• Design and implement Data Mart applications and performance
tuning and enhancement
• Develop transformation rules to integrate data files into the
rule engine using Data Stage
• Developed the ETL components to create the analytics repository
• Involve in the end to end development activities and
visualizations
• Use the real time data to generate the reports and dashboards
• Expert in IBM DataStage Development (Server and Parallel Jobs)
-- Enterprise 9.x and higher with 5-7 years of experience
• Hands-on experience on IBM InfoSphere DataStage 9.x a must.
• Must have knowledge of Oracle 11 database development and tuning
• Strong Unix scripting knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems,
computer science, or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and
experience.
• Strong understanding of Oracle 11g and the ability to perform
data analysis, troubleshoot data integrity issues and trend data analysis.
• Excellent technical, logical, analytical and problem-solving
skills to provide insight on development and application support.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with
technical and non-technical audiences.
