We are looking to fill 2 positions in NYC. One is a principle engineer / lead for AEM (adobe experience manager) and another is a senior engineer for Demandware. Below are the JD’s for both. *1) AEM Technical Lead – Principal Engineer* Location : NYC A technically strong hands-on expert who can design, build and support product solutions for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), develop technical roadmaps for the web CMS platform and lead the migration and maintenance of the various web properties on to AEM. The candidate should have a solid overall understanding of the system/application architecture of the AEM, its templates, widgets, components and workflows including knowledge of out of the box search capabilities and custom integration with enterprise services. *Responsibilities include:* - Designs and develops architectural approaches and solutions on the enterprise AEM platform based on business needs/requirements and develops implementation plans, estimates and budgets in conjunction with the PM, BA and other team members. - Ensures and drives success of AEM enterprise-level integration and development efforts effecting upstream and downstream legacy systems. - Works with functional groups both internal to Technology Service Group (e.g., project management, network operations.) and external in order to provide tightly integrated solutions between the web applications and the legacy backend systems. - Provides solutions recommendations to solve problems considering system(s) capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results - Oversees, mentors and guides the team that analyzes, develops, installs, tests and modifies the enterprise-wide AEM platform - Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and works with product owners to develop and maintain an enterprise wide, prioritized AEM roadmap in conjunction with the legacy webCMS retirement roadmap. - Ensures quality and on-time delivery on projects with associated documentation, user training and operationalization; drives engineering best practices throughout the project lifecycle - Owns and is accountable for delivering quality outcomes that balance technical, business and operational goals. *Requirements:* - Deep knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and AEM Core components (Example: Sling, OSGI, JCR, Dispatcher). - Strong knowledge and experience in integration with components of Adobe Marketing Cloud (including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics and Campaign) and Adobe Social. - Be well-versed with AEM workflows setup and maintenance as well as User and Group Management. - In-depth understanding and expertise with AEM DAM, Renditions and DAM Workflows. - Ability to fine-tune AEM application for optimal performance, including configuring Threads, Heap, GC Policy. FEO, JS and CSS minification and optimization. Should be familiar with application profilers. - Experience in designing third-party integrations with AEM such as SAML Authentication Handler, Dynamic Tag Management, Brightcove, Apache SolR, etc. - Strong Java (OSGi, JSP, Servlets) and web development (HTML, JS, CSS, Angular, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, Phone Gap, Twitter Bootstrap etc.) background with experience building cutting edge web & responsive mobile experiences. Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks. - Deep understanding of CRX 3 (JackRabbit Oak*)* with MicroKernel (MK) implementations like TarMK and MongoMK. - Proven track record to delivering enterprise initiatives working across organizational boundaries and building strong technical delivery teams. - Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals - Broad web and digital knowledge, an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving as well as mentoring/guiding other members of the team. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion. - 10+ years of experience in developing, enhancing and operating digital content platforms with at least 3-5 years of hands and/or technical leadership on AEM/Adobe CQ platform - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering *2) DW Senior Software Engineer* *Location: NYC* This person must understand the functional requirements and technical specifications of projects necessary for implementing technical solutions. This person must work effectively both as an individual contributor as well as a member of the development team in designing, developing and testing software application solutions. Also • Acts as a manager/mentor for employees and actively seeks these opportunities • Sets performance expectations before the beginning of an assignment • Holds colleagues accountable for their actions without compromising compassion • Creates approachable environment for team members to ask questions and escalate issue Defines commitments for milestones, owns a team • Responsible for components of technical platform, responsible for delivering capabilities • Span of control is a subsystem of the broader program *Responsibilities* • Reports to the Sr.Manager/Director of Applications Development • Work as technical leads and architects and write and implement technical specifications related to the company’s web initiatives • Work with other members of the Applications Development team to implement technical specifications. • Work with functional groups both internal to Technology Service Group (e.g., project management, network operations.) and external in order to provide tightly integrated solutions between the web applications and the legacy backend systems. • Be well-versed in the technologies chosen for developing web application solutions (e.g., J2EE applications, JBOSS,Websphere App Server, Demandware, Adobe Experience Manager, Web Servicess, Solr , Ajax, EJB, Struts, MQ,Oracle, SQL Server database, MySQL,WSo2.). • Write and review application code for Demandware applications • Design and build applications for scalability and redundancy. • Adhere to industry standards and Technology Service Group-defined guidelines and principles for software engineering. • Provide technical guidance to more junior members of the development team. • Write documentation as needed. • Continue to develop technical skills and learn new technologies as needed. • Implement (i.e., design, develop, unit test) technical solutions for web applications based on the functional requirements and technical specifications. • Adhere to project scope and timelines with both Agile and waterfall approaches. • Support and maintain online, ecommerce applications. *SUCCESS FACTORS:* • In order for this individual to be successful, he/she must: • Implement reliable and scalable web application solutions and e-Commerce applications using Demandware platform. • Should be able to design and develop Demandware Cartridges which includes developing Pipelines, ISMLs and Scripts that meet the business requirements. • Integrated third party LINK cartridges into the application • Create custom jobs, job schedules and job configuration in business manager • Add customer attributes to system objects, custom site preferences in business manager • Create slots and slot configurations, resource bundles, DW Webservices, Checkout flow, import and export feeds. • Able to work on Webflow, integration and Service frame work, Payments, Business Manager, multi-currency and localization • Have the ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a member of a development team • Possess a BA or BS degree from an accredited university.
