*Job Description:*
Provide software installation services that require any privileged system
access to the environment including client software on application servers
and process schedulers within the data center.
Manage databases used by infrastructure processes including all physical
and logical support.
Service Provider is responsible for problem resolution for infrastructure
databases and infrastructure schemas installed in databases. Manage
database level security on databases used to support the infrastructure.
Provide logical support for all infrastructure schemas that need to be
installed within databases.
Install, at the request of client, database patches and software upgrades
Work with the client to validate operating system and database version
compatibility.
Establish the database environment including documented processes and
procedures that enable application DBAs to configure their instances within
the environment.
Provide technical support for the database environments to include system
setup, initial configuration as well as investigating and resolving
specific process problems as well as providing and maintaining the
documented procedures used to configure instances into the environment
Provide database replication support services to enable client to report on
transactional data to include:
1. Design, develop, implement, maintain and support the Software to
provide database replication;
2. Provide documented processes and procedures for use by client;
3. Assist with troubleshooting the replication process once client
determines that a problem is likely in the replication process itself or in
the procedures used to implement replication.
Ability to extract data at a consistent point-in-time in order to source
the client system-wide data warehouse and local campus systems.
Manage archive logs according to agreed upon standards.
Perform all production and non-production database backups and recoveries
at the physical database level.
Logical database recoveries. Assist application database administrators
with logical recoveries by restoring a copy of a database in an alternate
location.
