It serves operating a labyrinth of directory services that provides all access to technology services. This kind of work requires deep attention to operational excellence due to its broad impact. The UNIX infrastructure team operates fundamental services that support email routing, directory interfaces, storage, and management of approximately 200 servers that are both internal and world facing. Other units may contribute but this team is uniquely qualified and tightly aligned to communicate through issues by troubleshooting very quickly.* * * *1. Key Leadership responsibilities are necessary in this position:* * * *· Building and support of reliable systems based on FAS-IT and University requirements* *· Promote and Implement technical initiatives, design solutions to meet customer needs* *· Establish and ensure configuration standards and process* *· Enterprise capacity planning and maintenance planning* *· Function as a local resource manager and coach for six UNIX team members* *· Act as a technical contact for internal and external customers and constituents* *· Budget responsibility for up to $5000 for software, hardware and maintenance* * * * 2.
